Ujam Launches UFX Reverb: A Creative Studio-Grade Reverb Engine

Ujam has introduced its latest plugin, UFX Reverb, which is described as a studio-grade reverb engine designed to create realistic rooms and environments. Aimed at music producers and sound designers, this new release offers a comprehensive range of tools and features that go beyond traditional reverb processing.

How to Download UFX Reverb for Free

To get your hands on UFX Reverb, you’ll first need to download the Ujam app. From there, you can install the trial version of UFX Reverb. When prompted to purchase the plugin, proceed with the checkout process. You will receive an email with a download link for the full version—available for free until October 31, 2024.

When you open the plugin in your DAW, you’ll need to log into your Ujam account to confirm the license. If you don’t remember your account password, request a new one, or create a new account. I had already used Ujam and didn’t remember my password, so I requested a new one and then logged in from the plugin’s initial tab. If you don’t follow this process, you’ll be stuck with the 7-day trial version.

10 Versatile Reverb Models

UFX Reverb comes with 10 distinct reverb models:

Basic
Room
Hall
Plate
Spring
Digital
80s
Warm
Gated
And the fan-favorite, Reverse.

Each model provides a different reverb flavor, ranging from classic studio reverbs to more experimental and creative effects.

Advanced Sound-Shaping Controls

These reverb models can be further customized using the Size and Character sections, which control parameters such as density, room size, damping, and modulation. This allows users to tailor the reverb sound to fit perfectly within their mix, whether they’re looking for subtle ambiance or something more dramatic.

Randomized Reverb Presets

One of the standout features of UFX Reverb is its intelligent randomization function. With just a click, users can create new reverb presets, making it easy to experiment and find unique sounds. The plugin includes 100 preset options that range from realistic spaces to more imaginative and experimental settings.

Additional Sound Design Tools

Ujam has included a range of extra tools to expand UFX Reverb’s capabilities. These include:

Ducking: Automatically lowers the reverb level when the input signal is present.
Freeze: Locks the reverb tail for extended atmospheric effects.
Multimode Filter: For fine-tuning the frequency response of the reverb.
Finisher: A tool for adding special effects to the reverb tail, making it a sound design powerhouse.

This extensive feature set is designed to make UFX Reverb more than just a typical reverb plugin. Ujam intends for users to fully unleash their creativity, crafting fresh and original sounds with ease.

Demos and Availability

Before downloading, users can check out several official and unofficial YouTube demos showcasing the features and sound of UFX Reverb. These videos give potential users a solid understanding of whether the plugin will suit their needs without committing to a download.
