Yo, Plugheads — we got a heavy drop on deck. Rakim, the God MC himself, links up with underground heavyweight Hus Kingpin over a Big Ghost Ltd joint that’s pure grit. The track? “Now Is The Time.”
This ain’t just a collab… this is generations linking up, passing the torch without losing the flame.
Rakim: Still the God
Rakim steps in like he never left. The voice, the precision, the presence — man’s spitting like the blueprint was his to begin with. No gimmicks, no chasing trends, just pure MC science from one of the greatest to ever bless a mic.
Hus Kingpin: Smooth Criminal on the Mic
Hus slides in smooth, painting pictures with his pen. Dude’s got that fly, cinematic flow — weaving imagery, stacking references — holding his own right next to a legend without flinching.
Big Ghost on the Boards
Big Ghost cooked up a backdrop straight outta a crime flick — dusty loops, sharp snares, basslines that lurk in the shadows. It’s moody, it’s raw, and it leaves just enough room for the bars to breathe while still hitting heavy.
Why This Matters
In a game that loves to split “old school” and “new school,” this joint proves real spit cuts through all that noise. It’s not nostalgia — it’s synergy. Two eras, same hunger, same respect for the craft.
🎧 Plug this in late night when the city’s quiet, streetlights buzzing, and you’re just cruising. “Now Is The Time” ain’t just a track — it’s a statement.
