Want to achieve a tight, powerful low-end like Jaycen Joshua? Here are three key techniques he uses:

1️⃣ Manual Sidechain with Clip Gain – Instead of using plugins, Jaycen ducks the bass manually with clip gain for precise control.
2️⃣ Widening Bass Without Losing Focus – He keeps sub frequencies mono while widening harmonics for a massive yet clear bass.
3️⃣ Sidechaining Instruments with Soothe2 – This ensures space for the kick and bass without sacrificing instrument fullness.

Try these tips and share your experience! 🚀

Instead of Soothe2, a great alternative to achieve the same sidechain result and create space for the kick and bass is Waves’ **Curve Equator**. This plugin offers precise frequency control, allowing for smart cleaning of the most problematic areas of the mix, while still maintaining the fullness of other instruments. Another powerful tool to optimize the low-end and achieve a more balanced sound!

Has anyone of you already used Curve Equator, or do you have preferences for other plugins for frequency control?
