Open the SonoBus plugin on your master track in your DAW.

On your phone, create a private group. Enter a unique group name and an optional password. Then, connect to the group.
Step 5: Connect the Plugin
In the SonoBus plugin on your DAW, click on ‘Private Group’ and enter the same group name and password that you used on your phone. Then, connect to the group.
Important Note
Make sure both your computer and phone are connected to the same network.

To connect with SonoBus, follow these steps:
- Open SonoBus Application: Launch the SonoBus application on your device.
- Click “Connect…”: Locate and click the “Connect…” button to initiate the connection process.
- Choose Group Type: Starting from version 1.3.0, you have the option to join either a Private or Public group.
- Private Group:
- Select the Private Group tab (or Group in older versions) in the Connect window.
- Choose a unique group name or generate one using the random name generator (dice button).
- Optionally, set a password for added security (share this password only with intended participants).
- Click the Copy button to copy the group name (and password if set) for sharing.
- Enter a name for yourself, which will identify you to others in the group.
- Click “Connect to Group!” to join.
- Public Group:
- If you prefer to connect with unknown participants, select the Public Group option.
- Follow similar steps as above, but note that Public Groups do not require a password.
- Connecting and Adjusting Settings:
- Once connected, you will see other participants who have joined the same group.
- Adjust the volume sliders to control the levels of other participants’ audio.
- Use the Pan button to adjust stereo panning for each user.
- Mute yourself or adjust individual user inputs using the microphone button.
- Mute output from all or specific users using the speaker button.
- Sharing the Connection:
- After connecting, you can share a link to make it easier for others to join. Tap on the group/user name below the connect button to copy a link (e.g., http://go.sonobus.net/sblaunch?s=aoo.sonobus.net&g=GroupName).
- Server Configuration:
- By default, use the server aoo.sonobus.net for connection.
- If you are using your own server, enter its hostname in the server settings. Note that the server only facilitates connections and does not handle audio transmission, which is direct peer-to-peer between users.

- Passwords are optional but can be set for Private Groups to restrict access.
- All audio transmission is peer-to-peer, ensuring direct and efficient communication.
- Ensure a stable connection by using wired ethernet for minimal latency, though WiFi is supported with adjustments.
