🐰 DynaBunny by Caelum Audio – A Bitcrusher with Character

Every now and then, a plugin comes along that doesn’t just process sound—it sparks creativity. DynaBunny by Caelum Audio is one of those plugins. Released as a free Easter gift, this charmingly designed bitcrusher isn’t just cute—it’s a serious tool for producers who want to bring glitch, texture, and lofi magic into their tracks.

What Is DynaBunny?

DynaBunny is a bitcrusher plugin that reduces both the bit depth and sample rate of an audio signal. But it’s not just about degradation—it’s about dynamics. The plugin reacts to your signal’s dynamics in real time, delivering digital distortion that’s both musical and responsive.

Its core concept is simple, but the sonic possibilities are anything but.

Key Features

🎛️ Bit & Sample Rate Reduction
DynaBunny lets you destroy your sound beautifully. Drop your sample rate as low as 10Hz for ultra-glitchy effects, or go subtle for classic digital warmth.

🔊 Dynamic Response
What sets DynaBunny apart is its dynamic behavior. It shapes the amount of crushing based on your input level—meaning you can create evolving, animated textures that respond to your playing.

🎨 Intuitive UI
Clean, fun, and straight to the point. DynaBunny’s GUI is friendly and fast, making it easy to dial in crunchy tones, shimmering artifacts, or total sonic chaos.

📦 Cross-platform
Available in VST3, AU, AAX, and AUv3, DynaBunny works on macOS, Windows, and iOS.

Why You Should Try It

Whether you’re producing lofi beats, ambient textures, electronic grooves, or just looking to mangle your audio for creative effect, DynaBunny is a no-brainer. It’s free, light on your CPU, and weird in all the right ways.

Personally, I found it shines on:

• Synth leads that need edge
• Percussion that needs dirt
• Vocals that need alienation
• Any track that needs movement through destruction
